Lomograwhat?

Lomography is back-to-basics, or reinventing the basics. It's about using a little plastic camera in any way you'd like (preferably without breaking the camera). Just forget the rules and just snap away. Get in as close as you can, shoot from the hip or upside down if you prefer. It's all about capturing that one special moment, so don't wait too long as that moment might not stay around forever. Use the camera during the day or use it late at night and admire the blur! Call it snapshots if you must, but it's so much more than that (for one, medium format film can be used in the Holga which in turn gives bigger negatives and more detail. The Lomo lc-a for example takes 35mm film ). Some would say you're only a lomographer if you own an actual Lomo camera, but a Lomo is a Lomo. Plastic stays plastic and they're both classified as being toy cameras and a Holga really isn't much different. It's true that the Holga was made in China rather than Russia and that therefore it isn't a real lomo camera as it wasn't made by the same company, but seeing as lomography.com also sells them I decided to include the Holga here too :)

Basically, this is the fanlisting for all things that are connected with lomography, whether you just like the photos, whether you own 10 Lomo cameras, just 1 Holga or any other toycamera. Who wants digital if you've got plastic? :D
